Equipping Students to Become Autonomous Learners

This presentation describes specific activities to address four common learning challenges. Students are 1) unaware of how they organize their knowledge and their thinking; 2) unaccustomed to thinking about an idea’s level of specificity; 3) missing inferred meaning in texts; and 4) focused on getting ‘A’s’ instead of on learning.
