Artistic Affordances: Art as Fuel for Task-based Language Teaching

Teachers can use art to depart from dull, mechanistic “input” and, instead, construct a classroom environment rich with meaning making “affordances”. Attendees will learn to use art with the 6 steps of task based language teaching to restore agency to students, and promote meaningful production and target form acquisition.
