Participants learn how to choose well-crafted, content accurate picture books, which parallel content curriculum topics, deliver instruction, and build academic vocabulary and concept understanding for upper elementary through adult ELs. Presenters demonstrate picture/text interaction, through the dual coding of information, supporting the comprehension of content and language. Resource list provided.
