The Colors of English Sentences
Using flashcards with color-coded words, teachers will learn one simple technique to help their students to understand the differences between the English syntax and the syntax of their L1. The presenter will discuss how teachers’ responses may affect students’ development of communicative competence and also offer practical suggestions to ESL teachers.

Micro Credential in Citizenship Preparation
To develop the language skills required during a Citizenship interview, a stackable micro-credential composed of five graduated interview scripts based on the USCIS N-400 Application for Naturalization has been developed. Each micro-credential represents the acquisition of vocabulary, grammar, and clarification strategies associated which each level of interviews.
