This presentation will describe recent blogging tools such as “Medium” and “Maptia” that can be incorporated into ESL reading and writing classes. These tools can provide students an opportunity to write and interact with an audience outside of the classroom, while making their writing more creative, focused, and relevant.

Micro Credential in Citizenship Preparation
To develop the language skills required during a Citizenship interview, a stackable micro-credential composed of five graduated interview scripts based on the USCIS N-400 Application for Naturalization has been developed. Each micro-credential represents the acquisition of vocabulary, grammar, and clarification strategies associated which each level of interviews.
